Lake Echo offers early morning midge fishing , as well as dry fly action when
gum beetles are about on warm days. The water is clear and polaroids are essential,there
can be some outstanding windlanes which the rainbow realy like .The deap rocky shores
around the dam are exposed to heavy waves, these shores are suited to lure casting and is
a popular bait fishing area. Wild broun trout to 1 kg are average with the odd rainbow
being caught , this lake is out of the way and is not fished much and is well worth a
look. The limited access to most shores make it a 4x4 or boat situation . Good wet fly
pattern could be a ...Mrs Simpson ,..Rabbit Fur Fly ..or good old Red & Black Fur Fly
