Evergreen - Midi playing

I knew I wished to write about Friendship, but exactly how I had
not yet thought out.

Serendipity worked for me once more and led me to a Television
program on a subject I would never have chosen.
It was about a Philosopher, a subject that I have had no education
on at all.

Epicurus was his name and friendship was the subject.

Epicurus valued friendship highly.

He said that friendship "Dances around the world" telling us that
we must " Wake to blessedness."

He also said, "A life without friendship is solitary and beset
with perils"

Epicurus said, "In order for there to be friendship, there must be
trust between friends"

True Friendships

They are to me, like the beautiful pearl in it's shell.
The pearl is one of life's wonders, held close they warm you until
you glow with happiness from their warmth.

We can gather many friends along the way, each contributing,
in their own special way, none taking from another.

These friendships become as individual pearls, but you will find
that, as you gather them, you have ....

A "String" of Beautiful Pearls

If you are blessed as I am - there will be one or more on the string
that ....

Stands higher, runs deeper, flows smoother, weathers the rough,
shares the smooth, shines brighter ....

Because it *grabs* at all the strings of your heart, and you
know that ....

No matter what ... The bond is for a lifetime.

Sent to me recently - this poem called ....

Dear Lord:

Every single evening as I'm lying here in bed
This tiny little prayer keeps running through my head.

God bless all my family wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm for they're so
close to me.

And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do,
Hope you don't mind me asking, bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's not normal to bless a mother board
But listen just a second while I explain to you 'My Lord'.

You see, that little metal box holds more than
odds & ends inside.
Those small compartments rest so many of my

I know so much about them by the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them much the same as you,
We share in what life brings us and from that,
friendship grew.

Please, take an extra minute from your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book that's filled with so
much love!

Wherever else this prayer may reach to each and every friend.
Bless each e-mail inbox and the person who hits send.
