Australian Natural Real Estate moves beyond the exchange of money and property, which is real estate.
Our operations also involve an exchange of values. We seek out customers who value nature, quietness and
beauty, who protect nature and natural ecosystems and who want to be sure that they are not selling
their land to those who would ruin it with bulldozers, chainsaws or chemicals.

Origins

Australian Natural Real Estate is set up in response to the rapid buy-up of family farms and bush blocks
by rich corporations who are going door to door with a fistful of money, aiming to demolish what exists
and replace it with genetically streamlined tree crops.

What We Do

First, we offer options. Australian Natural Real Estate aims to match bewildered sellers with caring
buyers.

We know that corporate buyers have substantial cheque books, but so do the growing band of folk in
Tasmania and beyond, who yearn for a home in the country, a rural retreat, an organic farming lifestyle
or simply an ethical investment. We are seeking these people. We are also seeking sellers – people who
are headed for the city with children growing up, or who cannot meet ends meet anymore or are simply
moving onto another rural area. We know that many such sellers are faced with the corporate chequebook
but would dearly prefer a buyer who is keen to keep their land in its natural or rural shape.

Operation

Australian Natural Real Estate’s first aim is to become known to both buyers and sellers and the
mainstream estate agents. We are planning to advertise in local and national papers, trading papers and
other media especially those with green and rural audiences. Begun by Tasmanians with a long-term
commitment to the environment and a proven successful record, we are seeking our real-estate experts
and advice on how to best ensure natural and rural land values are retained through measures such as
covenants. One tenth of one percent of our turnover is also set aside for grants to conservation and
green organisations with similar ethics. Whilst we cannot guarantee no change to the land, we can avoid
the corporate buyers guarantee that the land will be spoiled.

who can invest the startup capital or anyone else who feels they may have anything to offer.
