Dolls

Most of the dolls shown on this page have been made in classes run by Adult Education in Tasmania. Where possible I have included the mould designer's name in brackets. Many of these dolls appear in the windows at Christmas time.

Princess Diana (Rubert)

 

 

 

Princess Diana is 1 metre tall and is dressed in a reproduction of her wedding gown. There are numerous pearls sewn onto the lace around the neck and sleeves.

Camille (Esteban)

Himself (Godfrey) can also be dressed as Santa Claus.

Zelma is dressed as Romeo and Juliet.

Valentina (Esteban) is dressed as Rapunzel.

Lottie Dah (VanOsdell) is dressed up in her mother's old clothes and jewellery.

Ewa and Dewa (Lamb) are dressed in leather,beads and fur.

Forest folk, Wanda, Gus and Tim (Esteban) are dressed in leather, feathers, fur and beads.

Gus and Will (Esteban) are dressed as elves. They have pointed ears.

This doll designed by Hildegard Gunzel is dressed as an affluent tribesperson.

Natalie(Connies) was one of the first dolls made in the collection.

Hilda is a reproduction of an antique doll.
