Experienced Teachers
You may have been teaching for years and just feel that perhaps it is a good time to reflect on your teaching practices. We are all faced with incredible pressures in our work as teachers. We are in reality actors and in a sense we are only as good as our last performance.
Like actors we need to review what we do and how we teach. We are also faced with soul destroying performance reviews, destructive audit reports and often a system which generates self doubt rather than enhances what we are really about: teaching.
You are a good teacher. You know you are but there are times when we need others to see us as we are, people who are passionate about teaching our craft to others. Teaching is an art form and deep within us just as music is to a musician or art to an artist. The challenge, exhilaration of teaching is like a hit to us and we thrive on it.
But like most performers we have the ever present fear of becoming stale and loosing relevance to our students and ourselves.
