3-135. And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember
Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins. Who forgiveth sins save Allah only ?.
and will not knowingly repeat ( the wrong ) they did.
3-136. The reward of such will be forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens underneath
which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever, a bountiful reward for workers!.
and for those who have not yet sealed their own destiny and pursue forgiveness
and their resignation to Allah, without partners the Creator of all that is
for them is an open invitation to Islam and be Muslim
for nobody's gain but their own.

I heard you say it, but
what you said is not what I heard.

Presuming that the other person knows what is being said without a prior common understanding of the meaning of the words used, is a certainty to having a non-intelligent dialogue.
The purpose of communication is to accurately convey desired information between two or more parties and a successful communication when conveyed back should accurately reflect the original meaning without additions or subtractions. In order to achieve the necessary accuracy, both sender and receiver must before hand have, directly or indirectly agreed on the meaning of the language used in whatever is conveyed. If not, an un-recognised communication becomes a meaningless gibberish and in extreme cases can register in the mind as visual, audio or mental noise sometimes with beats and or patterns that could be pleasant but unrecognised for what it really is. The beats and patterns only being loose associations to a previous something.
Quran is a simple, highly complex document with a high degree of built in redundancy by virtue of the large number of complementing references, giving it possible and achievable consistent accuracy for translating. Sadly many Quran translations ( interpretations ) fail this test of redundancy by being inconsistent in the use of the same words when the links between complementing references are broken in the attempt to accommodate their understanding to other languages rather then to be accurate to the original meaning.
Rightly or wrongly, some knowledgeable person's explain this by saying that the original Arabic text cannot be mirrored in to other languages, but because of the importance of Quran, consistency in the meaning of the same words is the least that could be expected.
An accurate transliteration could be most useful in checking for specific word sequences.
From different sources, the meaning of 'some' words.
If implied, direct or indirect references in Quran can be called redundancy then, ISLAM, MUSLIM and SALAAT all have a redundancy check in each other. Any departure in accuracy in one can be restored from the references in the other two and should there is any inaccuracy in all three, with diligence, they can still be restored from the indirect references in other parts of Quran.

Allah : The Divinity. ( not god. There are many gods, all man made): Allah is the ONE who ALONE, without partners or helpers ( before anything was), created all that IS created in creation that is either known or unknown./ Allah has NO NEEDS, including no need for helpers, partners or assistants.

Quran References :
39-7. It ye reject truly Allah has no need of you; but He likes not ingratitude from His servants ( ibaad: subservient ): if ye are grateful He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end to your Lord is your return when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did. For He knows well all that is in (men's) hearts.
16-40. For to anything which We have willed We but say the Word "Be" and it is.
21-16. Our creation of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them is not a game.
19-40. It is We Who will inherit the earth and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.

Islam : The Surrender, Submission, Subservience to Allah. ( not to god )
3-85. And whoso seeketh as religion * other than Islam ( the Surrender ) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.
6-125. And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender ( Islam ), and whomsoever it is His will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.

Muslim : A one who has resigned. In a state of Subservience to Allah.
2-132. And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons and so did Jacob; "O my sons! Allah hath chosen the religion * (deen: restoration ) for you; then die not except 'in the faith of Islam.' ( muslimon: as muslims ) "
3-20. So if they dispute with thee say: "I have submitted my whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me." And say to the people of The Writing and to those who are unlearned: "Do ye submit yourselves?" If they do they are in right guidance but if they turn back thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allah's sight are His servants.

Salaat or Salaah : Defines an event, a something to take place or taking place. : The celebration.
It is celebrating the remembrance of Allah at the prescribed 5 times a day often stated as :
Prayer or as Worship.
14-40. "O my Lord! make me one who establishes 'regular salaat and also among my offspring O our Lord! and accept Thou my Prayer
2-238. Guard strictly your salaat, especially the middle salaat and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).
3-38. There did Zakariya pray to his Lord saying: "O my Lord! grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure; for Thou art He that heareth 'prayer'!"

Deen *. ' restoration ': The blueprint. An action. An end result. A reinstatement.
Usually stated as : religion *, Faith, Requital, Reckoning Moral law, Judgement.
1-4. Master of the Day of restoration.*
9-33. It is He Who has sent His 'Rasool' (conveyer ) with guidance and true restoration * to make it prevail over all other restoration * even though the disbelievers may hate it.
2-256. There is no compulsion in 'religion' (deen: restoration ). True guidance has been made clearly distinct from error. Therefore, whoever renounce Shaitan and believes in Allah has grasped the firm hand-hold that will never break. Allah, Whose hand-hold you have grasped, hears all and knows all.
3-19. Lo! Religion * is with Allah, The Surrender. Those who received 'the Book' ( The Writing ) differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieve the revelations of Allah, Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning.
3-85. And whoso seeks a religion * other than the Surrender it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.
16-52 Unto Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion * is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah?
3-83. Do they seek for other than the restoration * of Allah? While all creatures in the heavens and on earth have willing or unwilling bowed to His Will (accepted Islam) and to Him shall they all be brought back.
Y.A. 109-6. To you be your religion * and to me religion * (restoration).
51-6. And verily the religion * (restoration) must indeed come to pass.
56-56. Such will be their entertainment on the Day of the restoration * (the religion).
51-12. They ask "when will be the Day of religion * (restoration).
68-39. Or have ye Covenants with Us on oath reaching to the Day of 'Judgment' (al-qiyaamah: the confirmation ) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand?

Dhikr . Awareness. To cognise
Usually stated as: Remember. Remembrance. Bear in mind and Warnings.
13-28. - such are the ones who have believed and whose hearts find satisfaction in the awareness ( dhikr ) of Allah. Beware! It is the awareness ( dhikr ) of Allah which provides tranquillity to the hearts.
62-9. O ye who believe! When the call is heard for 'the prayer'( salaat: the celebration ) of the day of congregation, haste unto the awareness ( dhikr ) of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.
72-17. and thereby put them to test. He that gives no heed to the awareness ( dhikr ) of his Rabb, ( Sustainer ) shall be made to undergo severe punishment.
54-17. And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to be aware of ( dhikr: awareness ); but is there any that reminisce? ( dakir )
29-45. Recite what is sent of the 'Book' ( the writing ) by revelation to thee and establish the celebration ( salaah:) for the celebration restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and awareness ( dhikr ) of Allah is the greatest without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do.

Dakir . Reflect. To reminisce, Ponder.
Usually stated as : Remember. Remembrance. Take to heart. Receive admonition.
54-17. And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to be aware of ( dhikr: awareness ); but is there any that reminisce? ( dakir )

Some words and their use.
ATHAN or AZAN, normally referred to as the '' Call to Prayer '' or the '' Call to Worship ".
A search into the meaning of the word PRAYER reveals that such an expression is not entirely descriptive or appropriate to define the purpose, meaning and commitment of the ATHAN, the call to the remembrance of Allah.
The meaning of the words below were looked up in the English language Thesaurus of a most popular word processor to determine if the meaning is relevant with the ones translated from Quran. Only as a matter of interest, the meaning of the word Muslim, Islam and Allah cannot be found in the Thesaurus of some very popular electronic word-processor's.
Either an oversight or a deliberate oversight for something intimidating.

What the words are saying is very clear for all to hear.
Pray and Prayer can be part of Salaat but it is not Salaat.
Worship can be part of Salaat but is not Salaat, which celebrates the remembrance of Allah.
All Powerful is not godlike even if some of the attributes can be similarly related.
God and goddess is not the Creator of all things.
Godless is non-awareness of the Creator who Sustains The creation till the appointed time.
As indicated in the meaning of the word Serve, Servant and Slave, they have not part in Islam where the believers are resigned or subservient to Allah when following the edicts of Allah's revelation.
By other names, the meaning and intention of the word Serve, Servant and Slave all of which are found in slavery, is seen practised world wide by some countries upon the people of other countries.

When religion is
The religion

Some persons may describe it as being the normal growth of a living language that makes some terms obsolete.

Religion.
The concept of the word ' religion ' in the western language has now been altered to such an extent that the original meaning can no longer be identified to its time-tested definition. That being the case it is quite misleading to retain the same use of the word when the exact meaning no longer applies to it and unless specifically elaborated upon by the user, it only causes presumptions and confusion.
_ The meaning that was once identified with religion has now been transferred to 'restoration', a multifaceted word that encompasses all the activities and goals pertaining to the old times definition of 'religion'.
Religion ' used to be ' the living of a particular way of life that was derived from above man and applicable to all men which when followed would lead man to the source from which the way of life was derived.
Religion ' is now ' the focus around which the daily life revolves, guided by a man made something, often for the disadvantage of other men. A modifiable and exploitable something, open to interpretation by someone's intelligence, cunning and pragmatic convenience in transient circumstances.
_ In this enlightened times, a person can have and live parallel and contradictory religions like the religion of sport, of politics or of a particular political systems, of finance and money, of culture, of racial superiority, of the superior religion presuming that it is 'the restoration' of old.
There are also other unmentioned all consuming activities that are quite transient and lead nowhere safe.

Restoration.
in Quran,     ' Al-deen '    has a very specific meaning but is almost invariably translated into English as the religion instead of The Restoration

The restoration can be a blueprint for doing a something, it can also be a commitment to restore something to a previous state and it can also be the continual striving to restore oneself to a previous status. The restoration, is also the accomplishment.
_ The restoration is the determined striving of man to return, to be restored with the Creator as it was. The restoration is the chosen way of life that is without unpleasant surprises or final regrets leading to the ultimate goal.
In the restoration :
Throughout time, the restoration has been pursued by all people in their own different ways with the most recent recorded one in the tradition of Abraham in the three branches of descendants that is now Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
_ The tradition of subservience by Abraham is very simple, with very clear guidelines on how to pursue the restoration without alterations or modifications.
_ The one in subservience to the Creator has always been called ' Muslim ', and he or she is said to hold a fundamental belief in the commitment to subservience. This persons are the orthodox often referred to as being fundamentalist in their belief, they are the difficult to deal with people who refuse to compromise and destroy their struggle and commitment, just to please those who are not aware of or deny the restoration.
The most recent Muslims follow the restoration as stated in the writing that is Quran, the very same program and database that is engraved within every Soul.
_ The restoration for Muslims is in Quran, their restoration is Quran and the restoration is to whence they came.
The restoration to their Creator is continuous and not on a weekly, daily or part time basis.

The Religion used to carry the meaning of living the restoration with free will without being coerced into this, that or other restoration without fear of being violated for pursuing subservience to the Creator.
Secular life, is the way of life that rejects and even coerces people from the life style that leads to the restoration of man. Secularity is made by the ego of man for the particular time and can be replaced at any time. It is unstable and leads nowhere lasting.

Summing up

There is no separation between the religion and state because absolutely nothing belongs to CAESAR. ( the saying: give to god what belongs to god and to Caesar what belongs to Caesar )
By Allah's sanction man follows different and diverging ways that in the present as in the past have resulted in difficult relationships between people.

religious accommodation by committee :
In connection with the return to the Creator, a group of people without a fundamental belief in the restoration, relaying on personal inclinations and wishful thinking make defacto rulings to compromise or even to destroy the fundamental beliefs of other people.
religious dialogue :
People who make believe or who hold a fundamental belief in the restoration, communicate their beliefs with persons who do not share their personal restoration. People communicate their ideas and understandings without the zealousness or intention of a missionary.
religious :
With or without a blueprint, pursuing an idea with a real or with an imaginary belief that cultivates the mind and the actions towards a specific end that can be fixed or loosely defined.
_ It can be a real belief without necessarily being the restoration when it is an ego delusion or a perpetrated deception. A mirage is a restoration that leads nowhere safe.
_ A belief that continuously focuses on worldly activities and consumes most if not all the time in the day, is only a transient kind of restoration that leads nowhere safe.
religious variance :
The various beliefs in restoration, some of which may be competitive towards the others.
religious intolerance :
In a delusion of ego self-righteousness, using the means available one actively pursues the destruction and replacement of the variance on the basis that mine is the only true restoration. It leads nowhere safe.
Religious conversion :
Selfishly or not and whether realised or not, mind control techniques are used to alter the thinking process of another person so that the thinking will conform to the desired intention of the one exerting the mind control.
_ The ego of an individual has a logical or an induced affinity with a particular restoration.
_ An individual capable of seeing flaws in the various restorations and for nobody's gain but his/her own, chooses to displace the controlling ego and becomes subservient only to the Creator and no one else. It is the restoration that is without unpleasant surprises or final regrets that leads to the ultimate goal, the return home having successful completed the tasks that the individual consciousness was created for.

A definition of terrorist
be they persons or countries.

He is a good friend, somewhat inquisitive and stubborn. When there is something he fails to understand he has to ask ' why ' and after some initial inertia he has to find out what it is all about. A good example is shown below.
After about six months he became bored with the federal government, the state governments and the pillar of civilisation mightier then the sword, the news media, all continually referring to Muslims terrorist in a general way. He had to find out what a Muslim terrorist was.
The brother refused to contemplate the idea of anyone thinking of him as a terrorist, because if no one says what a Muslim terrorist is then any one and all Muslims could be thought of as being terrorists. Not very good for Muslims in general but, it could be a very clever or a very dumb idea by some persons he thought.
He seriously pointed out to me that when asking a ' why ' you must direct it to some one who could have the answer to the question. There is no much sense asking someone who has no answers, unless one is trying very hard to avoid knowing something, while pretending to make an effort to know by asking the wrong party.
One day there was a good opportunity to ask his ' why ' question to a person quite versed in the law and a potential Federal Attorney General of the country. The question he put to the person was like this : To avoid being accused of terrorism how is a ' Muslim terrorist ' legally defined or if I am accused of being a Muslim terrorist, when can I take some one to justice for slander and for lying about me. The pretty big question was matched a couple of days later by the reply which failed to answer the question. Never the less he was thankful for the reply.
An other opportunity did arise a few weeks later he said, when he received in the mail an insurance renewal notice. Because money is quite important to every one, the contents in insurance contracts in all fairness need to be legally defined. As new or renewed insurance policies in this part of the country have a terrorist exclusion clause included, it was an opportune time to ask ' why ' and have a legal definition that anyone else can follow up for themselves, if they desire.
The insurance policy stated that loss or damage by an act of terrorism was not covered. The inquisitive brother asked the insurance company, '' What is an act of terrorism '' that would negate an insurance claim.
The advice received back stated that the words in the policy were as that given in any dictionary similar to that in the ' The Australian Pocket Oxford Dictionary ' which reads " policy or system of ruling, seeking to obtain political demands, etc by violence and intimidation ".

Finally a clear definition of terrorism and what the terrorists are.

It was a bit of a shock however when he told me that by the definition above, all major political powers in the world and some of the minor powers, are the actual terrorists and villains no matter how much they negate it with their ample speeches. For this conclusion, the evidence is clearly visible through out the lands in the past and the present deeds.

So much for the Muslims terrorists spin he said, there must be something else lurking behind the scene, maybe it is just Muslims that are being targeted by the terrorists, directly and indirectly. By also calling " terrorism " what Allah has sanctioned, is a clear and self-evident erroneous behaviour.
A slave refusing to silently remain chained in slavery can be called a terrorist, but it is hardly the correct call.
Unless proven otherwise one can be inclined to agree with this reasoning, but no matter. When the time comes every one will be sorted out into the left or the right group according to their deeds. Some persons will have reasons to be in a state of sock I would think, but then again no one knows what tomorrow brings. Maybe some disagreeable characters in the present will become themselves my Muslim brothers or sisters in the future, only Allah knows. Allah is most forgiving to those who desist and make amends.
I am unable to do anything about it but I can now sleep easier knowing who and what is terrorism.
