    Religion.

Q1. What would remain of The Quran if the religious * implications are removed.
    A. - Al-Quran, in English often referred to as The Koran, amongst other considerations is a book with guidelines for a particular way of life and by grouping many matters into a single word expression many call it a religion *. The contents of Al-Quran will not change if it is given a new cover, it remains a book for all logical thinking life which needs to sustain itself.
    AL-QURAN is :
---- -A blue print from before to after time.
---- -A set of operating instructions.
    ---- -A service manual.
---- -A single precise tool befitting all eventualities.
---- -A recognisance that is forgotten needing remembrance.
Being useful anywhere, Al-Quran is placed :
    ---- -In space-ship Earth.
---- -With humanity as the crew and cargo.
---- -Going towards the final destination of the appointed day.
Waiting as if tomorrow were the last day as :
    ---- -Muslims.
---- -A Community of believers, a nation of mankind.
---- -Striving to achieve in surrender while awaiting.
Pursuing an understanding about creation and the Creator in :
    ---- -Science.
    ---- -Knowledge.
---- -A selective way of life, in Islam.
---- -In order to remember and be able to name things before the appointed day.
The benefit of remembrance in the journey, by life.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 3-135. And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins. Who forgiveth sins save Allah only?. and will not knowingly repeat ( the wrong ) they did.
ref. 3-136. The reward of such will be forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever, a bountiful reward for workers!
ref. 3-138. This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off ( evil ).
    religious * implications, in retrospect.

A person may be versed in many matters and in time will come to know and name new things which have always been there. Any failure to understand something today does not negate the actuality of what is not understood. Likewise for Al-Quran today, wether it is understood or not. Being a Muslim is not the being part of a racial or etnic group entitiy, to be Muslim is the ultimate possible state of mind.

Q2. If intelligent life is discovered in the universe, will Al-Quran still be relevant.
    A. - In Al-Quran it can be read that there is intelligent life created before man and it further states that it is aware of and interacting with mankind.

    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 15-26. "We created man from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;"
ref. 15-27. "And the Jinn race We had created before from the fire of a scorching wind."
ref. 42-29. " And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills. "
ref. 55-33. " O ye assembly of Jinns and men! if it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth pass ye! not without power shall ye be able to pass! "

    Return to the beginning

Q3. I have free will and can do whatever I want, why should I voluntarily surrender to be a slave of Allah.
    A. - To the first part of the question, during the daily events when is a person using free will and when is a person being used in someone else's plans. To the second part of the question, there are two kinds of slavery or servitude. Individual interpretation of the word Slave and Servant are some times interpreted has being the same thing instead of two quite different conditions.

1 - The one who is forced into submission, is a slave to some one and if given an informed and better choice will choose something other than forced servitude. ( slavery )
2 - The one who surrenders and is a slave of Allah, the Creator of all that is, with an informed choice will state that for personal growth, fulfilment and happiness there is no choice but to be the servant, freely and gladly being in a self imposed servitude. To surrender voluntarily to the One who made life, is not a loss of freedom and is hardly being a slave as it removes all fears and any separateness from creation, placing one in synchronism with all that the Creator is continually sustaining. It is called surrender in Islam and it does not mean to lose the free will, but to be in guidance, aware of the consequences of responsibility for personal actions without later recourse to some nice third party to intercede for any damaging unwanted actions or responsibilities.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya
ref. 19-93. " Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant."
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya 4-172. more inshight.

Q4. Why is mischief making so prevalent in the world.
Plain mischief, a question of Who, What, Why, How.
A- To know love, one must have been close to it. To know fear, one must have been close to it. To know submission one must have been close to it. To have remembrance, one must have known. To know mischief one must have been a recipient of it or have sought forgiveness for it.
In man's life many things are achieved hopefully without recourse to mischief.
----( 1 ) Is there such thing as mischief
----( 2 ) can it be defined and
----( 3 ) if identified how does it work.

1- There is such a thing of course, as the ones who are the recipients of it's dynamic force can attest to. On the other hand the ones who are responsible for this energetic actions or persistent pressure will very likely swear that such is not the case and will feel justified that a good has been done.

2- It can be defined as the carrying out or setting in motion the conditions for intended results on targeted individuals by some one in a position of power who assumes an individual or a group to be a threat which requires neutralising. The intended party however considers the results as being an unjustifiable hurt and an unwarranted violation as there never was any cause to the effect which if not forgiven or forgotten is a justifiable cause for an effect. Either way being time defined, the record of a mischief can never be erased till the end of time. Mischief is the result of man's normal thinking process, of the ego making intelligent choices and an unrealised Life Form who attempts to influence the choice. The existence of an unseen or unknown black star cannot be denied if it interacts with other matter.

3- As created, man's natural behavioural response in life is to achieve without any wilful infringement or transgression against any one or any thing where .:
---- Actions by the ego are given three sided considerations, me ; you ; Al-Quran remembrance
---- The achievements are in Islam for the natural energy efficiency.
---- Without transgression no retribution is generated and no regrets later on.

In the altered mode of man achieving things, psychological stealth is added to man's thinking process to purposely impair the judgment in order to see mischief done.
Under a state of Psychological Stealth the behaviour and the gains can be seen as :
----- Achievements made at someone's loss, caring for no-one except the ego.
----- In delusion there is a conviction or a justification of an overall energy efficiency.
----- The idea of The Creator is irrelevant but any associated partners would approve.
----- There is eventual chastisement and forced retribution on the player, a re-alignment.
----- The ego considers help as useless or hopeless with self destruction a justifiable escape.
----- Make believe love is used as the means to an end.

    ( a ) Workings of free will,
    ( b ) the thinking process and
    ( c ) psychological stealth.

( a )- The process of free will is reasonably well understood to be the ability of carrying out a presumed informed and reasoned choice within some limited boundaries in a conscious realisation. A choice is an evaluated conclusion reached using the memory of pervious experiences, present circumstances and projected outcome possibilities into the time which is yet to be. Ideally carried out in an impersonal and detached mode, a choice can be logically correct or impaired with some possible long term implications being pleasant or unpleasant. When repetitive choices become the automatic response of having learned as in habits, thinking and will was initially exercised and the dangerous assumption is made that no more analitical work is required on the matter.

( b )- The putting together of a thought being much like the stringing of a necklace using carefully selected pearls chosen from different depositaries in order to achieve the designer aspiration who knows it when it is done. The thinking process itself is less well understood but it can be agreed that it takes place with the interaction of memory at the ego conscious level, the subjective level and at the unconscious-subconscious level. The subjective level being the heavily used common ground reached by the other two states is very important for the input and output of ideas and emotions which when they feel right are accepted by the ego and stored as a definite future reference or are passed to the conscious level where a demand is made on the desire and the will to use the resources available to carry out the command.

( c )- Psychological Stealth is the process whereby to the individual's detriment at the subjective level, external ideas generated in the subconscious, are very subtly inserted or grafted in the thinking process at a specific area of the brain without triggering the self defence response which could challenge the logical validity of the foreign insertion. In the same specific area of the brain used without stealth by inspiration as a whisper to the ear, all ideas can be scrutinised for acceptance or rejection with a free will based on personal integrity and ability. Any idea by itself is neutral, like the white writing on a black board is the neutral carrier of any message or like the contents on a computer disk by itself does nothing until used. What is not neutral a deliberate timing that an idea is inserted in the thinking process at the subjective level to achieve a goal, in this case for detrimental purposes and here is the stealth. The process may start with seemingly harmless or innocuous ideas or suggestions which MUST be accepted by the individual to remain a part of the normal thinking process. This grafted thinking is the beginning of mind conditioning as whatever idea may have been accepted seemingly with free will now become the individual very own personal possession and not seen as something implanted. Hence the psychological stealth which places a binding commitment on the self that can even extend to the silencing of the self survival instincts.
With remembrance lost, a graft bearing bitter fruits where there was none.

    - The use of psychological stealth against mankind.
The one who makes use of stealth from the subconscious level is a single life form far removed from man who successfully uses helpers from Mankind and the Genii to influence life ONLY and ONLY when man forgets Al-Quran and man's place in the creation. The why it takes place is a question of free will at the highest level of creation being used in mischief. The reason it is allowed to take place rests with the All Knowing Creator. As no words of mine can convey the actuality of this most important observation, it is your choice to read from the references below .:
---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya 15-26 to 42, an insight into the other life form.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya 50-16, an insight into suggestions.

ref. 7-201. Those who fear Allah when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them bring Allah to remembrance when lo! they see ( aright ) !
ref. 16-98. When thou dost read the Qur'an seek Allah's protection from Satan the rejected one.
ref. 16-99. No authority has he over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.
ref. 16-100. His authority is over those only who take him as patron and who join partners with Allah. ''

    A something stated.

ref. 114-1. Say; I seek protection within The Lord of The people
ref. 114-2. Sovereign of The people
ref. 114-3. Deity of The people
ref. 114-4. from The abject retrograde whisperer
ref. 111-5. Who whispers in The people's hearth
ref. 111-6. from The Genii and The people.

    Mischief making, in retrospect.
Man is not evil but man does make mischief and ignorance would be a good excuse for man except that it requires intelligence to plan something and carry it out. Without the recognisance of Al-Quran as a personal motivational reference or comparison, seemingly logical conclusions can be reached which with false surety become a final regrettable decision regardless of perceived good intentions.
ref. 2-11. When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth" they say: "Why we only want to make peace!"
ref. 2-12. Of a surety they are the ones who make mischief but they realise ( it ) not. ''
ref. 3-135. And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins. Who forgiveth sins save Allah only?. and will not knowingly repeat ( the wrong ) they did.
Thinking logic is based on understood knowledge or knowledge which one is allowed to understand.
The failure to believe in gravitational forces does not make one immune to the effect of the laws of gravity.

Q5. Is it proper to kill, for relaxation and/or pleasure.
    A. - The life of any creature, anywhere, does not belong to man to do as one pleases or for the likes of killing for the purpose of sport and or pleasure. In Al-Quran man is allowed to use animals for food and rainment but before taking the animal 's life " In the name of Allah " will be said to acknowledge the responsibility that a life is taken and by whom.

    Killing for food
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya 5-4. and 42-11
ref. 42-11. ( He is ) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him and He is the One that hears and sees ( all ).
ref. 2-178. O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder; the free for the free the slave for the slave the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain then grant any reasonable demand and compensate him with handsome gratitude; this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty.

Q6. Does Islam ascribe to the Big Bang, the Steady State or the Chaos theory in the creation of the universe.
    A. - Even if all three or others not as yet articulated scientific theories may seem to have some merit, THEY ARE NOT THE RECIPE which will give man the understanding of creation. To understand the creation of the universe means to be able to reproduce the actuality. It is quite impossible for man to reproduce the universe as man is inside time and space, not outside of it. Unknown and unrealised laws and principles can be used in proving a theory but any one theory which can be proven is only the reproduction of a snapshot or some multiple frame events in the universe without the awareness of ALL the factors involved. Science and knowledge is a compulsion for man and will give much useful information about matters in the universe. The universe however is dynamic and since it was even before part of it became visible, everything is relative except for Allah, The Sustainer, who is Absolute.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya .
ref. 2-117. " The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it becomes. "
For those who pursue the understanding of Allah's creation, a clearer picture :.
ref. 52-7. Verily the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass
ref. 52-8. There is none can avert it
ref. 52-9. On the day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.
ref. 52-10. And the mountain will fly hither and thither.
ref. 21-104. The Day that we roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books ( completed ) even as We produced the first Creation so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it.
ref. 56-60. We have decreed Death to be your common lot and We are not to be frustrated
ref. 56-61. From changing your Forms and creating you ( again ) in ( Forms ) that ye know not.
ref. 56-62. And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
ref. 2-255. Allah! there is no Allah but He the living the Self-subsisting Eternal. No slumber can seize him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what ( appeareth to his creatures as ) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of his knowledge except as He willeth. His throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. For He is the Most High the Supreme.
ref. 18-51. I made them not to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation; nor choose I misleaders for helpers.

    Return to the beginning

Q7. Many persons worship gods and sacred objects, why do Muslims refuse to do so.
    A. - With given free will people can make any choice according to their desires. The worshipers who attribute powers to gods or icons, may or may not be aware of the One who created them, and whether realised or not sustains their lives and gives them free will. Muslims have no gods or icons. They have a book of revelations, sacred but not an icon, the contents of which conveys to those with the disposition and understanding the knowledge or an insight for belief in the Creator and a desired behaviour for humans on earth or in the universe . Muslims only have one Lord, the One Sovereign, the One Deity, the One Creator to worship without partners. Any creation is not an equal to the total of creation let alone being an equal to the One Creator who created the total creation.
For a more specific and clear explanation some references,
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 17-84. '' Say: "Everyone acts according to his own disposition: but your Lord knows best who it is that is best guided on the Way." ''
ref. 51-56. '' I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. " ''
ref. 8-73. '' The unbelievers are protectors one of another: unless ye do this there would be tumult and oppression on earth and great mischief. ''
The following two verses give some further insight into Muslim worship.
ref. 22-77. " O, ye who believe! Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do good, that haply ye may prosper.''
ref. 22-78. " And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion * any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham ( is yours ). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this ( Scripture ), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting Friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper! ''

Failure at making compromises to the religious * belief, in retrospect.
The self explanatory Surah references from Al-Quran gives an insight into the persecution of the Muslim aspiration.
ref. 6-56. " Say. I am forbidden to worship those other than Allah whom ye call upon. Say: I will not follow your vain desires: if I did I would stray from the established path and be not of the company of those who receive guidance."
ref. 109-1. " Say: O ye that reject Faith!
ref. 109-2. I worship not that which ye worship
ref. 109-3. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
ref. 109-4. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship
ref. 109-5. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
ref. 109-6. To you be your Way and to me mine."
ref. 3-61. " If anyone disputes in this matter with thee now after (full) knowledge hath come to thee say: "Come! let us gather together our sons and your sons our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: then let us earnestly pray and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"
In view of the above statements and focus of worship, a different behaviour response by Muslims in some matters must therefore be expected.

Q8. Is circumcision sanctioned in Islam.
    A. - In Al-Quran there is no mention of the need or the sanction for MALE or FEMALE circumcision nor is there any other sanction to improve on Allah's physical creation of mankind.
A perceived logical necessity for physical alterations to mankind implies that Allah was, and is not aware of His own reasons or intentions and made mistakes in creating mankind the way it is created.

    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 95-4. "Surely We created man of the best stature "
ref. 4-118. "Allah did curse him ( Satan ), but he said: I will take of Thy servants a portion marked off :"
ref. 4-119. " I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle and to deface the nature created by Allah's, " Whoever forsaking Allah, takes Satan for a friend, hath of surety suffered a loss that is manifest. " ''

In the narrations ( Hadiths ) assembled by Sahih Bukhari, the word circumcision and their circumstances is recorded in the following locations. :
    ----SBH. Volume 1, Hadith 6.
    - In the early years of Islam, Heraclitus the Roman governor of Palestine was told by a messenger from an other kingdom that circumcision was practiced by the Arabs.
    ----V 5, H 399.
    - One of the pagans from Mecca, fighting against the Muslims in the battle of Uhud was killed, one reference to him was as " the one who circumcises other ladies. "
    ----V 4, H 575 and V 8, H 313. - Reference to Ibrahim circumcising himself at 80 years.
    ----V 8, H 313. - Ref. to Ibn 'Abbas
remembering a time in his youth and referring to the circumcision of boys after they had reached the age of puberty.
    ----V 4, H 656. - V 4. H568 - V 6, H 149. - V6, H 264. - V 8, H 532,533,534.
----Ref. Hadith: 8.532 .Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
I heard Allah's Messenger while he was delivering a sermon on a pulpit saying, "You will meet Allah barefooted, naked, and uncircumcised."
    ----V 7, H 777,779. - V 8, H 312

    Body mutilation in retrospect.
Alterations to the human body for any reason, whether in shape or behaviour must be considered a mutilation which can be grouped into four types.
    1 ----- Body repairs.
Necessary changes to reshape or repair a body in order to restore health.
    2 ----- Cosmetic functionality.
Making fashionable body changes to boost a personal ego. The functionality of the body is not usually altered, only reshaped.
    3 ----- Manipulated ego functionality.
The ego and behaviour of someone is specifically altered by enhancing or reducing some one's body specific responses. A second party uses the first party by altering or forcing some organs to atrophy for the purpose of submission or servitude making for an enforced slavery by the conditions of the body.
    4 ----- Multiple Functionality Adjustment.
The functionality of many bodies and minds is altered and scarred at the same time. The combination of mental and inevitable physical body adjustments forced onto a society. It can be only a short term readjustment by necessity, ( See Al-Quran Surah-aya 2-193. ) or the opportunistic need for advantage which may persist beyond an equitable point. Usually carried out on the population of some reluctant tribe using various tools such as finance, science, sanctions, declared and undeclared war or other kinds of persuasions to produce a mutilation of the society for submission or to cause atrophy or even extinction.
The scarring on an individual or on a society is the mark of a mutilation.
Any insertion in to a cell for the manipulation of the cell is a RAPE and a MUTILATION.

    Return to the beginning

Q9 Are there any miraculous events recorded in Al-Quran. ?
A - Because miracles are given great importance by some persons before any answers can be given it must be ascertained that the meaning of words used and their implications, have the same understanding in all parties. A thesaurus could be useful but unfortunately that is not always the case as looking at the presently most widespread electronic Thesaurus for the meaning of the word miracle, one can find that a miracle is defined amongst other things as a HOLIDAY, which is hardly appropriate with reference to the question above. Because of the link to miracles, the meaning of reality and actuality need also have the same understanding to all parties. With the correct meaning of words it should be possible to distinguish what is some times referred to as a miracle to be nothing more then a desired result of some one using their mind. A desired result could be in good deeds or for mischief, such as the use of a nuclear device to wipe out the population of a city in time past could be described as a miraculous event by the recipients, but hardly a good deed. What is also some times referred to as a miracle can be nothing more then the result of mind power by some one to achieve a desired result IN THE MIND as, something being made to appear an actuality when only being a reality, be it welcomed or unwelcomed which in either case may need to be reacted to by the individual.
All actions always and always insha-Allah. ( Allah willing )

  • Actuality & Reality      Miracles      Self healing      Magic      Mind power
    Man's Calibre      The Answer

    ACTUALITY AND REALITY
A reality can appear to individuals as an actuality when a believable illusion will not sustain itself outside of the mind. By way of example, someone can imagine or think up any absurd thing and if it is then believed by self or others, behold it becomes a reality to the mind without there being any actuality. In a simple dream, the dream can be reality for the sleeping dreamer. For the movie goer who believes what is projected on the screen, there it is a reality which can motivate the individual to laughter, tears or generate motives for action without there being any actuality to what is observed. So-called fairy tales, the local variable thing of time and place, no matter how nice by name or how much importance they are given, they only exist as a reality. Realities can also be made up by error or convenience. A created reality that Muslims are dangerous because they believe in Allah and the WHOLE content of Al-Quran rather than in those parts which find approval in those who don't believe. Likewise, another created reality is an imaginary pain that with a persistent belief in it can become an actuality. A building being built is a reality until completed, then it becomes an actuality. With realities, if there is Memory loss or No belief, there is No longer any reality of what was, as there never was any actuality in the first place. With actuality on the other hand if there is Memory loss or No belief, it is your loss as you are not aware of what is always there much like a blind person cannot see the actuality that can only be seen. A reality without actuality is an illusion, something which seems to be, where as actuality is not an illusion and is what is WITHIN ALLAH, the Actuality that is also the Reality, therefore Allah is the only actuality and it is not man's world nor man's universe. Further, only Allah can sustain the actuality in time space and beyond, with some of His creations aware of some of the actualities. In actuality, Allah is aware of the so called empty space, and where matter seems to be Allah SUSTAINS every individual part that makes up every electron, and the parts which go to make up the parts, including those particular energies which go to make Thought, Life and Soul. Allah also sustains man's temporary realities for the period that they are in the mind. Miracles, Magic and the use of Mind power by someone viewed with ignorance are most times given intermingled realities with magic likely to be a most common conclusion.
A very large and heavy machine airplane flying through the air, a radio noise box or a TV window from which things from beyond the horizon can be observed taking place, Magic or maybe a Miracle. A person with a disfigured face is seen going into a building where without the observer knowledge a plastic surgeon repairs the face. The same person with a so called normal face is at a later time seen leaving the building by the same observer and the building can make miracles or maybe some one in the building can make miracles or magic.
Without knowledge, something taking place in an unknown way can be made Magic or Miracle when it is neither.

    MIRACLES
Miracles, but the end result of the application of a natural law which is difficult to apply and whose workings is not understood by the people in general. The application of the law is not a creation nor a control of Allah's law but the providing for the conditions under which the law can operate much like a container can only be filled with something if it is possible for it to be filled. The law works, NOT IN PARTNERSHIP with Allah but within the creation of Allah because Allah is the only Creator who then Sustains that which is created. Miracles can be defined as such when by an inspired special individual, as the result of knowledge and a strong belief in Allah the Creator of all that is, the actuality of new sustained matter is generated slowly or in a single action OUTSIDE of the individual as intended, always insha-Allah as only Allah is the Creator of any matter. Matter being defined as in matter = energy and energy = matter with the energy spectrum reaching up to the life level. It is FOLLY to assume that a created thing can be an equal or a partner to the Creator of all that is.
The transfer of matter from one place and an other place cannot be described as a miracle or an act of magic.
    ----Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 2-65. And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath; We said to them: "Be ye apes despised and rejected."
ref. 2-66. So We made it an example to their own time and to their posterity and a lesson to those who fear Allah.
ref. 21-68. They said "Burn him (Abraham ) and protect your gods if ye do ( anything at all )!"
ref. 21-69. We said "O fire! be thou cool and safety for Abraham!"
ref. 11-71. And his wife was standing ( there ) and she laughed: but We gave her glad tidings of Isaac and after him of Jacob.
ref. 11-72. She said: "Alas for me! Shall I bear a child seeing I am an old woman and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!"
    ----Abraham
ref. 3-67. Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian but he was Upright and bowed his will to Allah's and he joined not gods with Allah.
ref. 2-260. Behold! Abraham said: "My Lord! show me how thou givest life to the dead. He said: "Dost thou not then believe?" He said: "Yea! but to satisfy my own understanding." He said: "Take four birds; tame them to turn to thee; put a portion of them on every hill and call to them; they will come to thee ( flying ) with speed. Then know that Allah is Exalted in Power Wise."
    ----Solomon
ref. 34-14. Then when We decreed ( Solomon's ) death nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth which kept ( slowly ) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty ( of their Task ).
    ----Moses
ref. 10-90. We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length when overwhelmed with the flood he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit ( to Allah in Islam )."
ref. 2-60. And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah and do no evil nor mischief on earth.
    ----Mary
ref. 66-12. And Mary the daughter of ' Imran ' who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into her of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations and was one of the devout .
ref. 3-45. Behold! the angels said "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus the son of Mary held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of ( the company of ) those nearest to Allah.
ref. 19-29. But she ( Mary ) pointed to the babe ( Jesus ) . They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
    ref. 19-30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
    ref. 19-31. "And He hath made me Blessed wheresoever I be and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
    ref. 19-32. "( He hath made me ) kind to my mother and not overbearing or miserable;
ref. 19-33. "So Peace is on me the day I was born the day that I die and the Day that I shall be raised up to life"!
    ----Jesus
ref. 3-59. This similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam: He created him from dust then said to him: "Be" and he was.
ref. 5-110. Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! recount my favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom the Law and the Gospel. And behold! thou makest out of clay as it were the figure of a bird by My leave and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave and thou healest those born blind and the lepers by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from thee when thou didst show them the Clear Signs and the unbelievers among them said: `This is nothing but evident magic'.
ref. 5-112. Behold! the disciples said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set ( with viands ) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear Allah if ye have faith.
ref. 5-113. They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle.
ref. 5-114. Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O Allah our Lord! send us from heaven a table set ( with viands ) that there may be for us for the first and the last of us a solemn festival and a sign from Thee; and provide for our sustenance for Thou art the best Sustainer.
ref. 5-117. "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say to wit ` Worship Allah my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up thou wast the Watcher over them and Thou art a Witness to all things.

    SELF HEALING MIRACLES
Reflected in the health of the individual without new matter being generated outside of the individual. The inspirational use of mind power on self, without the remembrance of the inspiration cannot be described as a miracle but only something which is possible with Allah's permission and is a taste of Allah's Mercy on those who believe. When as a result of belief and intense faith in Allah only, organic matter restores itself to the state which is defined as the normal state for that organic matter, the application of unknown so called natural laws has taken place, always insha-Allah and is never achieved by the personalities of dead people, by stones, metals or by colourful paint on canvas, no matter how much personal association they may contain. An association being like the realised smell of a scented rose left behind in an empty room. Only Allah, without partners the Creator of all that is, can change the actuality of anything or remove any perceived reality from any individual. Allah Who is The Compassionate, The Merciful, The All Knowing, The Sustainer of all actualities. It is FOLLY to assume that a created thing can be an equal or a partner to the Creator of all that is.
    ----Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 30-33. When trouble touches men they cry to their Lord turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself behold some of them pay part-worship to other gods besides their Lord.
ref. 10-106. Nor call on any other than Allah such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost Behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.
ref. 10-107. If Allah do touch thee with hurt there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.
ref. 13-14. To Him is due the true prayer : any others that they call upon besides Him hear them no more than if they were to stretch forth their hands for water to reach their mouth but it reaches them not: for the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but wandering ( in the mind ).

    MAGIC.
The abilities of some one's mind to transfer realities by deceiving the sensory perception of an other person. Magic can be defined as such when the eyes and the thinking is directly or indirectly influenced to see or respond to a created reality which can be productive or mischievous. Being only a reality, the belief and remembrance in the actualities of Allah will protect the individual from the mischief by being able to see it as such in the awareness of Allah.
    ----Jesus
ref. 4-157. That they said ( in boast ) "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Messenger of Allah"; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no knowledge but only conjecture to follow for of a surety they killed him not.
ref. 61-6. And remember Jesus the son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming the Law before me and giving glad Tidings of an Messenger to come after me whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs they said "This is evident sorcery!" ----Solomon
ref. 27-41. He said: "Disguise her throne : let us see whether she is guided or is one of those who receive no guidance."
ref. 27-42. So when she arrived she was asked "Is this thy throne?" She said "It seems the same; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this and we have submitted to Allah ( in Islam )."
    ----Moses
ref. 7-107. Then ( Moses ) threw his rod and behold! it was a serpent plain ( for all to see )!
ref. 7-108. And he drew out his hand and behold! it was white to all beholders!
ref. 7-109. Said the Chiefs of the people of Pharaoh: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed.
ref. 7-116. Said Moses: "Throw ye ( first )." So when they threw they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them: for they showed a great magic.
ref. 7-117. We revealed to Moses : "throw thy rod": and behold! it swallows up straightway all the falsehoods which they fake!
ref. 10-80. When the sorcerers came Moses said to them: "Throw ye what ye ( wish ) to throw!"
ref. 10-81. When they had their throw Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.

    ref. 113-1. Say: I seek protection within The Lord of Dawn ;
    ref. 113-2. from what is created abject ( degrading );
    ref. 113-3. and from abject darkness when it overspreads;
    ref. 113-4. and from abject The utterer of curse in The knots;
ref. 113-5. and from abject envy when envied.

ref. 114-1. Say; I seek protection within The Lord of The people
ref. 114-2. Sovereign of The people
ref. 114-3. Deity of The people
ref. 114-4. from The abject retrograde whisperer
ref. 111-5. Who whispers in The people's hearth
ref. 111-6. from The Genii and The people.

    MIND POWER.
The ability to use the faculties of the mind, in the objective, subjective and subconscious thinking process is intelligence. When used by the self or ego focussed onto a task with the concentrated desire, the results is mind power. Mind power as such is not normally visually seen, but at it's highest expression it is perceived in miracles or as magic by some and for what it is by others. Given as revelation or derived from inspiration or by logical conclusions, a focussed desire can be applied to achieve results for good or mischief. With self resignation to Allah however, an inspirational opportunity of a good life to miracles and magic, is possible with the awareness and realisation of the actualities of Allah, but always insha-Allah as stated in Al-Quran.
    ----Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 55-33. O ye assembly of Jinns and men! if it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
ref. 17-88. Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an they could not produce the like thereof even if they backed up each other with help and support.
ref. 7-27. O ye children of Adam! let not Satan seduce you in the same manner as he got your parents out of the garden stripping them of their raiment to expose their shame: for he and his tribe see you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends to those without faith.
ref. 4-163. We have sent thee inspiration as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him; We sent inspiration to Abraham Ismail Isaac Jacob and the Tribes to Jesus Job Jonah Aaron and Solomon and to David We gave the Psalms.
    ----Abraham
ref. 6-75. So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth that he might have certitude.
    ----Solomon
ref. 27-16. And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! we have been taught the speech of Birds and on us has been bestowed of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest ."
ref. 27-17. And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts of Jinns and men and birds and they were all kept in order and ranks.
ref. 27-38. He said ( to his own men ): "Ye Chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
ref. 27-39. A stalwart of the Jinns said : "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy Council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose and may be trusted."
ref. 27-40. Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when ( Solomon ) saw it placed firmly before him he said: "This is by the grace of my Lord! to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And if any is grateful truly his gratitude is for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful truly my Lord is Free of All Needs Supreme in Honour!"
ref. 27-41. He said: "Disguise her throne : let us see whether she is guided or is one of those who receive no guidance."
ref. 27-42. So when she arrived she was asked "Is this thy throne?" She said "It seems the same ; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this and we have submitted to Allah ( in Islam )."
ref. 38-36. Then We subjected the Wind to his power to flow gently to his order whithersoever he willed
ref. 38-37. As also the evil ones ( including ) every kind of builder and diver.

Man's CALIBRE and man's place in the scheme of some things created.
After man was created, the angels who were in self submission to their Creator, knew about the capabilities of Adam's children, mankind. At the same time, Iblis ( Satan ) who was from the race of the Jinns, believing himself superior to Adam for having been created out of a different substance refused to place himself in submission even though he did acknowledge that Allah created him. It should be realised that Allah's creations with or without their submission, are only aware of what Allah allows them to be aware of no matter how mighty they might be. Being in submission to the Creator is the natural order of events when the personal ego is wilfully deflated in the awareness of Allah everpresence in all matters. This state of mind being the most productive and desirable condition for the children of Adam of which the angels are well aware of.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 2-30. Behold thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said "Wilt thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood? Whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy ( name )?" He said: "I know what ye know not."
ref. 2-31. And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels and said: "Tell Me the names of these if ye are right."
ref. 2-32. They said: "Glory to Thee of knowledge we have none save that Thou hast taught us: in truth it is Thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."
ref. 2-33. He said: "O Adam! tell them their names." When he had told them Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?"
    ref. 15-26. We created man from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;
ref. 15-27. And the Jinn race We had created before from the fire of a scorching wind.
    ref. 15-28. Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;
ref. 15-29. "When I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit fall ye down in obeisance unto him."
ref. 15-30. So the angels prostrated themselves all of them together:
ref. 15-31. Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.
ref. 7-12. ( Allah ) said: "what prevented thee from bowing down when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: thou didst create me from fire and him from clay."
ref. 50-16. We verily created a man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
ref. 13-15. Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah with good will or in spite of themselves: so do their shadows in the mornings and evenings.

Are there recorded miracles in Al-Quran ?, yes there are and a most beautiful one being Al-Quran it's self.
Al-Quran, a recitation revealed. ( a remembrance put into words, relating a known knowledge, the same remembrance which was had by all the Prophets ).
ref. 7-52. For We had certainly sent unto them a Book based on knowledge which We explained in detail a guide and a mercy to all who believe.
ref. 3-84. Say: ''We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes and in (Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between one and another among them and to Allah do we bow our will ( in Islam ).''

Al-Quran, the blue print for the successful life by man in the established pathway, is made up of three parts.

Miracles, Magic and general living, in retrospect.
It is preferable to spend a life time pursuing realities which are also actualities rather than use the very same energies pursuing realities which have no actuality.
ref. 2-121. Those to whom We have sent the book study it as it should be studied; they are the ones that believe therein; those who reject faith therein the loss is their own.
ref. 5-16. Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety and leadeth them out of darkness by His Will unto the light guideth them to a Path that is Established.
ref. 22-54. And that those on whom knowledge has been bestowed may learn that the ( Qur'an ) is the Truth from thy Lord and that they may believe therein and their hearts may be made humbly to it: for verily Allah is the Guide of those who believe to the Way Established.
ref. 2-117. The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. ( and it becomes. )
ref. 2-255. Allah! there is no Divinity but He the living the Self-subsisting Eternal. For He is The Most High, The Supreme.

Q10. Are the folk of mankind HUMAN BEINGS or a natural resource for someone to use, exploit and dispose of, the likes of any so called natural resources.
    A. - Human beings make up a community and a society which uses a resource nowingly created by Allah for the sustenance of the community in order to remember Allah and give thanks. To place some thing above humans, to utilise and control the community for it's own purposes is to deprive human beings of their rights and enslave them into a resource which demeans the society and community who without the remembrance of Allah becomes subservient to it's controller who places the value of human resources on a par with any other profit oriented supply and demand resource.
    ---- Ref. Al-Quran Surah-aya.
ref. 17-70. We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land -and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours above a great part of Our Creation.
ref. 40-64. Allah it is Who appointed for you the earth for a dwelling place and the sky for a canopy, and fashioned you and perfected your shapes, and hath provided you with good things. Such is Allah, your Lord. Then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
ref. 40-67. He it is Who created you from dust, then from a drop ( of seed ) then from a clot, then bringeth you forth as a child, then ( ordained ) that ye attain full strength and afterward that ye become old men though some among you die before and that ye reach an appointed term, that haply ye may understand.

Q11. On the sunset of the twentieth century ( CE ) the same old question remains for non-Muslims. Is there or was there a so called man's original sin, if so is it a problem now.
A search in Al-Quran, the most authoritative book on the matter, it is found that the contents of Al-Quran are quite specific in many matters all important to man's life today and in the future. The knowing about some particular recorder events like when man was first created is of limited value if it doesn't contribute to man's desirable behaviour. A record is information which doesn't do anything except lying there waiting to be momentarily recognised regardless of the language, the medium or the colour of the ink it is written in. The expulsion of man from the Garden, ( Paradise, Heaven ) to his temporary confinement on earth is such a record of limited value. Except that is for the events leading to it which are indeed useful as a reminder to avoid certain pitfalls which are continually with man. The particular event in question is referred to by some well meaning people as the fall of man with the so called original sin stamped on every born individual with the blame placed on the Prophet Adam ( pbuh ), his companion and Iblis ( the devil ). For those who may benefit in knowing the truth about their own non-existent guilt in the original sin, some pointers to information in Al-Quran so that they may be more aware and reconciled to The Creator of all that is and His whole creation.
    ----Ref.
For the Angels to know before man was even created that he and his companion were going to be confined to earth means, there must be some good reason for it's taking place.
After man was created, indeed there was a wilful transgression by The Prophet Adam ( pbuh ) and his companion, despite having been warned.
ref. 2-35. We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the garden and eat of the bountiful things therein as ye will but approach not this tree or ye run into harm and transgression." ref. 2-36. But Satan caused them to deflect therefrom and expelled them from the state in which they were; and We said: Fall down, one of you a foe unto the other! There shall be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a time.
ref. 10-107. If Allah do touch thee with hurt there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.
ref. 50-16. It was We who created man and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than ( his ) jugular vein.
ref. 17-70. We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours above a great part of Our Creation.
And an indication of things to come as a follow up to the so called first sin.
ref. 21-104. The Day that we roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books ( completed ) even as We produced the first Creation so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it.
ref. 56-60. We have decreed Death to be your common lot and We are not to be frustrated
ref. 56-61. From changing your Forms and creating you ( again ) in ( Forms ) that ye know not.
ref. 6-2. He it is who created you from clay and then decreed a stated term . And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!.
The answer to the question is in the affirmative, there was an initial trangression and it is not a personal problem nor an excuse for choosing to blame perceived or imagined shortcomings on someone long dead.
ref. 7-27. O ye children of Adam! let not Satan seduce you in the same manner as he got your parents out of the garden stripping them of their raiment to expose their shame: for he and his tribe see you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends to those without faith.
ref. 23-115. "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest and that ye would not be brought back to Us.?"
ref. 18-51. I made them not to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation; nor choose I misleaders for helpers.
ref. 17-15. Whoever goes aright, for his own soul does he go aright; and whoever goes astray, to its detriment only does he go astray: nor can the bearer of a burden bear the burden of another, nor do We chastise until We raise an apostle.

    Man's original sin, in retrospect.
To blame man's present state as the result of Adam's transgression, is much like blaming the sun for being overcomed by the first sunset and as a punishment having to continually rise every morning. Hardly a productive preoccupation. As for the darkness, knowing that darkness will come can give one the opportunity to avoid being in dark if such is desired, insha-Allah. As seen from the mentioned references in Al-Quran, the question of the original sin for a Muslim is nothing to get exited about as it is only a step in man's established path to Allah. After all Allah has created the beginning, the middle and the beginning.
In knowledge or in ignorance, willing or un-willing, with or without transgression, everything returns to Allah, the Sustainer of all that is.

Missionaries of the `90s Targetting Islam Not as a question and not as an answer. The article is reprinted for general interest with the permission of ...www.jamiat.org.za

Missionaries of the 90's Target Muslims

    By Masood Cajee

They don't show up at pansy Interfaith breakfasts. They make adept use of the Internet and e-mail to network deep in their assigned fields.
They're obsessed with winning the souls of Muslims. Call them the foreign legion of the Christian Coalition, call them missionaries of the 90s, but don't call them unwilling or unprepared to act.
For today's eager evangelical Christian missionaries, Muslims are like China for the Coca-Cola company: one billion people dying to hear.
Mike and Cindy Bowen of LaGrange, Georgia first went to Malaysia in 1987, on a short-term outreach for the Pentecostal Holiness Church. According to the Bowens, it was on the plane home that God confirmed His call to them.
"We both knew that God would eventually bring us back home to Malaysia to teach and preach to the Malay people who haven't heard," says Cindy Bow en, of her husband-and-wife team.
This year, the Bowens will leave their home in Georgia and commit full time to proselytise in Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur. They have been preparing nearly ten years for this opportunity. Since their first trip to Malaysia, Mike got a bachelor's degree in Missions and Evangelism from the South-western Assembly of God College in Waxahachee, Texas; Cindy majored in Christian Education. They will join an estimated contingent of 559 Christian missionaries (370 Catholic, 189 Protestant) in Malaysia.
'The Bowens plan to help establish two Pentecostal Holiness churches in Kuala Lumpur by training the pastors and bringing forth leaders to start plant more churches in this emerging Southeast Asian Muslim-majority nation of 19 million. A spokesperson for the National Evangelical Fellowship of Malaysia claims that 600 Christian churches have started there since 1992. Evangelical Christians like the Bowens tout Muslims as the largest block of unreached peoples in the world. Having scored remarkable successes among Catholics in Latin America, notably in Brazil, and spurred by the fall of the Soviet Union, missionaries in the 1990s regard Muslims as a "final frontier" for evangelism. Their strategies call for ''creative access, cultural sensitivity, and church-planting in the 10/40 Window." The 10/40 Window is evangelical-speak for the rectangle with boundaries of latitudes 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator; encompassing most of the Muslim World.
Muslim countries especially targeted are the newly independent states in Central Asia - particularly Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and the Southeast Asian tigers, Malaysia and Indonesia. Nevertheless, Frontiers and other Christian groups strive to place missionaries throughout the tough "10/40 Window." Most Muslim countries remain closed, either because of the strong linkage between ethnic and religious identity amongst Muslims, or because of heavy restrictions on proselytization. This restricted access has led U.S. Christian mission groups such as Frontiers to lobby Congress on the issue of "the persecuted Church" in Muslim countries. These lobbying efforts have spurred the creation of a US State Department Commission on religious Freedom, albeit one whose original stress on persecuted Christians has been slightly diluted. The Commission will now include representatives from multiple denominations and faiths, including Dr. Laila AlMarayati of the Muslim Women 5 League.
The "persecuted Church" primarily within the 10/40 Window has been a rallying point and foreign policy crusade for the religious Right in their quest to gain wider access to the untapped millions of non-Christians within the Window. Frontiers, a mission group devoted completely to converting Muslims, boasts that "through creative approaches, patient sowing, and fearless proclamation, more Muslims have come to Christ in the last 25 years than in the previous 1400 years combined!" The Mesa, Arizona-based group claims to have 500 missionaries in 30 countries, or about 20% of all North American Protestant missionaries serving among Muslims. Frontiers seeks missionaries for the 90's with the motto: "Muslims. It's their turn. It's all we do. Whatever it takes." From Bosnia to Bangladesh, American missionaries apparently have been doing whatever it takes to penetrate often resistant and hostile Muslim target countries. Two popular missionary approaches to Muslim countries involves setting up business ventures or non-profit relief and NGO work.
Christian relief groups have made inroads in places like Somalia (which is 99% Muslim) by taking advantage of humanitarian crises like the famine in 1992 that precipitated U.S. intervention. Some missionaries reportedly even hook up with the CIA, blurring religious and political goals. The Washington Post revealed, February, 22 that CIA officials admitted a "controversial loophole" exists that permits the agency to "employ clerics and missionaries for clandestine work overseas. By far; however; the most popular long-term method has been to establish front export businesses, a growing strategy used by missionaries to gain access into a target country. Often, missionaries start branch offices of American companies overseas or enter as consultants. Cindy Bowen speaks proudly of her husband's creative access to Malaysia, which capitalised on his landscaping business in LaGrange, located 6O miles Southwest of Atlanta.
"It's real tough getting into Malaysia because its such a closed Muslim nation," says Cindy Bowen. "But the good Lord has been opening doors. We couldn't openly go for a while, but then Mike got hired as a consultant with permanent resident status there through a landscaping company." The Bowens' photo album shows Mike Bowen landscaping a golf course for the Agrigreen Machine & Landscape Company of Petaling Jaya and pastoring in a small apartment church in Kuala Lumpur. "We wouldn't have been able to go in otherwise," says Cindy Bowen. "The company that hired us is owned by Muslims, but there are some Christians on the Board of Directors who helped us get in. It's kind a funny that a Muslim-owned company has opened the way for us to spread the Gospel in Malaysia. You gotta love the wicked!"
To better love the wicked, today's mission teams also make an early effort to get secure e-mail access, which has proved a ,vital link to the home base. Frontiers has established an e-Mail Assistance Program, assigning e-mail "gatekeepers" or resource persons in the U.S. to provide expertise and encouragement for overseas mission workers. According to Frontiers, "team members in their 'tentmaking' roles often need the help of people knowledgeable in a certain line of work."
The Bowens maintain a regular mailing list on the Internet, keeping them in touch with their sponsors and supporters. Many of the posts are prayer requests for Muslims: Pray that the Muslim World be covered with a 24 hour prayer chain. Continue to pray for the salvation of Ali as he investigates the claims of Christ. Pray for "Sam", a Malay believer who is engaged to a Muslim girl. Pray for growth in his Christian walk and for the salvation of his fiancee. Pray for Ani, a Muslim girl in Malaysia, as she continues to learn about God and open herself up to His truth.
Ahmad Baharrudin of the Malaysian Islamic Study Group, a leading Muslim student organisation, says the problem of attrition among Muslim Malays, particularly among young women, has alarmed him. "Every year, the Department of religious Affairs changes many Muslim names to Christian names, says Baharrudin. "Many Muslim activists say the Ulema should step out of their air-conditioned offices and reach out to the people."
The Bowens of LaGrange, Georgia, preparing to leave for Malaysia, are brushing up on their Malay language and customs. "We encourage our friends to pray for our success in this stronghold of the 10/40 Window," says Cindy Bowen. "Please pray especially for a supernatural move of God to reveal Jesus to man Muslims on the Night of Power in Ramadan."
