The 5 pillars of Islam
As each individual is a free agent and responsible for an action, any failure or shortcoming is a matter only for the individual and The Compassionate, The Merciful, Allah, Who will forgive whom Allah will forgive, without the need for any intermediaries. The present Islam originated in Arabia and was revealed to Muhammad in the year 610 ( Christian era ) when he surrendered in Islam and became a Messenger and Prophet. Being illiterate, the revelations were recorded by scribes as the Quran, a stand alone sacred book. . The way of life and behaviour of the Prophet during the last 23 years of his life is recorded separately as an example of authentic tradition for anyone to follow. At the age of 63 years the man born to be a Prophet and a blessing for all mankind, died. At his grave visited regularly for many centuries there is respect but, no worship to the man nor to the Prophet nor to the founder of a religious movement, worship and praises being for Allah only. Al-Quran is the source for the Islamic way of life, law and justice, aspirations, human behaviour and morality, finance, freedom, family, man and woman rights and responsibilities, including possessions and divorce. In Islam there is no racial advantage, no separation between state and religion, there is a daily life with obligations, without fear of death, with accountability by life at the end of time, as time is known. Islam is not a foreign religion, it is a dynamic universal religion in ideals and practices and in a world wide Muslim number of about - 900 million - approx. 125 million of them are Arabs. An accurate translation of the Holy Quran reflects the terminology of the time it was written which requires careful reading until one becomes familiar with the treasure, after which no need will be felt necessary to compare with any other treasure.
About the revelations in some other religions, from Al-Quran. in chapter 3 verse 84 it reads : Say: ''We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes and in (Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between one and another among them and to Allah do we bow our will ( in Islam ).''
