All action begins in the mind.

Principles of good mental health for Muslims to live by
and if need be to take one beyond the dark night of delusion.

What you have including your health, does not belong to you.
9-116 Surely it is Allah to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes to die. You have none besides Allah to protect or to help.

What ever your good intentions, you have to work for it and follow procedures.
22-78 And strive hard in Allāh's Cause as you ought to strive. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham). It is He Who has named you Muslims both before and in this, that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform AsSalāt, give Zakāt and hold fast to Allāh He is your Patron, what an Excellent Patron, and what an Excellent Helper!

Preserver with your determination to seek help.
2-153 O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness, and Salat. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast.
2-45 Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble-minded,

Quran is also a healing book, follow the guidelines.
17-82 We have revealed the Qur'an which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, while to the wrongdoers it adds nothing but loss.

When you become aware of temptation, do not run away, refuse to engage in a contest.
41-36 If any time you are tempted by Shaitan, seek refuge with Allah. It is He Who hears all and knows all.

Remember to follow the guideline and take care not to be distracted.
7-200 If Shaitan tempts you, seek refuge with Allah; for He is the one Who is All Hearing, Knowing.

Focus, Concentrate to remember and the temptation will be a distraction that disappears.
7-201 Those who fear Allah, when they are tempted by Shaitan, they have but to remember Allah and they shall see the light !

Do it right and it will work because Allah says so, it is truth.
16-98 And when you recite the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.
16-99 surely he has no authority over those who believe and put their trust in their Sustainer.
16-100 His authority is only over those who befriend him and commit shirk by his temptation.

If you don't do it right, you can end up like this.
14-21 When all people appear before Allah, those who were weak in the world will say to those who thought themselves mighty: "We were your followers. Now! Can you do anything to relieve us from the punishment of Allah?" They will reply: "Had Allah given us guidance, we would have guided you. Now it makes no difference whether we panic or bear it with patience, for there is no escape for us."
14-22 And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of truth: I too promised but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but you listened to me: then reproach not me but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries nor can you listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrongdoers there must be a Grievous Penalty."

Nothing will be given to you just for wishing it. You must work for the recompense.
5-105 O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance and enjoin what is right no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allāh, then He will inform you about that which you used to do.

The very bottom line.

I seek Allah's protection from Satan, the outcast.
