WELCOME TO THE BEGINNING OF OUR "TOUR" 1992

Happy Faces!
Vanessa - Aldonna - Miranda
I bet they were plotting something *grins*

*** *** ***

We started by going Southwest, crossing a narrow causeway to the
Tasman Penisular - home of the "Penal Settlement"
Port Arthur.

We stopped at Eaglehawk neck to visit the Blowhole.
Going down the rocky path we could see the small crafts being
tossed in the rough seas.

A cold and windy day in summer! but ideal for seeing the blowhole
at it's "best"
The water thundered through the hole at a frantic pace, we just
stood in awe at the sight!

A short distance further south took us to Port Arthur.
The weather had worsened so only one quick snap was taken.

Three sweet little "Tasmanian Devils"
Did the wet weather worry them? no way! they followed the guide
and listened to all he had to tell them.
Poor Poppa was not so happy - he lost his hearing aid in the muddy
car park; no hope of finding it in all the slush.

This is a photo taken some years earlier, showing the "roofless"
church, one of the many buildings to see.
